Winship Family Farms sales policy
Please read all of the details on this page carefully to understand our sales policy and the health of our goats. By signing this policy when purchasing from our farm you agree and by sending payment you agree to all terms and conditions listed on this page.
General
All goat kids will be available when weaned between 8-10 weeks of age unless otherwise discussed. The purchaser MUST have other goats or MUST purchase more than one if you do not have goats already in your ownership. They are herd animals and do not do well alone. All goat kids will be disbudded. Adult goats MAY or MAY NOT have fully established horns. This will be discussed PRIOR to a deposit by the purchaser being made. All goats are clean tested on an annual basis. All buyers are given an application for each kid purchased for ADGA and/or AGS. Applications can be sent into the applicable registry and an registration will be sent directly back to you.
Health
All goats and kids at Winship Family Farms are well cared for and healthy. All kids will be vetted and cared for as normal until the pickup date where it then becomes the buyers responsibility to care for the goat correctly. Once goats and goat kids leave our property of Winship Family Farms we are no longer responsible for their health and welfare as we have no control over their care once they leave our farm. All goat kids will be put on medicated kid starter, given both CDT vaccines, wormed, given registration tattoos, and hooves will be trimmed before leaving our care. If a goat kid was purchased and dies before leaving the farm the money will be refunded.
Pricing
Pricing for all goat kids individually will be listed on our Facebook page or on the "Sales Page" of our website when kids are posted available. However a base pricing is listed below.

The remaining outstanding payments for your new goat kid(s) is due the day before or at time of pickup, there will be NO EXCEPTIONS. If you are purchasing a wether, FULL PAYMENT will be due 5 business days before procedure, non refundable if you decide to back out of sale.
Reservations
All kids available for purchase will be posted on Facebook and our sales page on our website. We REQUIRE a $200 deposit that is NON-REFUNDABLE placed on the kid of your choosing once they are born, within 5 business days (weekends included) to be held until time of pickup. A kid is only considered and marked reserved if the deposit is paid within the 5 business day window or we move onto the next person interested in reserving. Deposits must be paid in Cash, Venmo, or PayPal.
Kid Pickup
Animal(s) must be picked up at our farm (unless other arrangements were previously made for your animal(s) to be transported) when your kid reaches at most 10 weeks old to avoid any boarding charges. Boarding fees are charged on a day-to-day basis of $10/day per animal. If the goat is not picked up or there is minimal to zero communication between purchaser and Winship Family Farms after 10 weeks of age we will TERMINATE the reserved kid from that purchaser with ZERO funds refunded to the purchaser. Considered to be inconvenience charges. LEGALLY we own all animals until paid in full (included any boarding fees charged) and delivered/picked up.
